TheDiamond-Furr ® Residential Window Flashing/Furring Trim has a unique design that offers the first real solution to the moisture intrusion problems that have plagued the plastering industry for decades.

Diamond-Furr’s Residential Window Flashing / Furring Trim (pt# DFR-375) is designed to be installed around windows manufactured with a 7/8″ cement plaster depth ground incorporated in the frame design. The trim provides pre-tensioned metal flashing over the nailing flange of the windows and has a built-in furring strip. This strip provides a continuous 3/8″ furring as well as a flexible connection point for metal lath. The tie wire connection effectively eliminates 100% of fastener penetrations through the water barrier. It also means that the lath never comes in contact with the paper so accidental tears in the last line of defense by over tightened screws will never happen.

The Diamond-Furr Termination Trims are designed to work as a complete system with the ICC approved Diamond-Furr Furring Strips which reduce fastener penetrations in the field by 55%. When used as a complete system your project has the best possible protection against moisture intrusion and will greatly reduce your exposure to moisture migration responsibility.

Both the Furring Strips and Termination Trims have been designed in longer ground lengths – CI System – for use on projects conforming to the new energy code requirements when using 3-coat cement plaster over continuous rigid insulation.
