The Breakaway Flange by Brand X Metals, Inc. is a ground breaking innovation which helps contractors become more efficient in the field when working with intersecting lines of trims.
When your plaster or drywall job calls for intersecting aluminum reveals but factory prefabricated intersections are not specified, the quickest and cleanest solution is Brand X Metals’ trims with the exclusive Breakaway Flanges.
The micro groove beneath the flange allows the installer to simply ‘Snip and Snap’ the nailing flange and 3/16″ plaster key (on PCS trims) with simple hand tools. No more unsightly overlapped trims. No need to come down off the wall to use a saw to trim back the flange. No scoring with a knife…just ‘snip and snap’!
The Breakaway Flanges are available on our PCS Series Trims, many of the Streamline Series Trims and our Drywall Series (DR, DRF, and DZ) trims.
