DESCRIPTION:
Fiber cement panel 2 piece vertical trims are used in fiber cement panel installations to provide a clean finished reveal. The combination of the CPPV-A base and CPPV-B 375-50 insert covers the edges of the fiber cement board, hiding cut edges. These trims are suitable for use in vertical applications only and must be secured with adhesive, screws, or pop rivets due to the natural expansion and contraction of aluminum.
The recommended adhesive for these trims should be compatible with all major brands of 5/16 inch fiber cement panel siding and be suitable for use with both wood and steel stud framing. This gives you the flexibility to choose the material that is best suited for your project. The trims are available with a clear anodized finish or Chem Film for field painting, and custom finishing with Kynar paint is also available to meet your specific project needs.
One unique feature of these trims is that the base part can be applied first, with the cover cap installed at a later time. This may be more convenient in tight fit situations than using the standard vertical reveal. However, it is important to remember that all two piece caps must be secured for the best performance and appearance.
